I love Small Scholars! My daughter started attending the Lorain Campus when she was 2 years old. It was a hard decision for me to make but as I checked out other daycares, I found SSU wad the best choice for me and my family. My son was 3 months old when he started at SSU. The care and attention he received put my heart at ease. I felt very secure in my choice to use SSU as my children’s daycare provider. The staff has always treated my children with loving care. P.S. Both my children are now in school and want to know when they can go back to their “old school”. How’s that for a recommendation!!)

I have three children and we have been coming to SSU in South Amherst since they opened summer of 2006. I take all three of my children there in the morning and then pick them up after work. It is very convenient. My two oldest children are school age. The bus picks them up and drops them off right at the center.  My youngest is in preschool. SSU offers preschool time Monday through Friday, which means he has preschool five days a week instead of two, as most preschool-only programs offer for 3 year olds. I feel he will be much better prepared when he gets to kindergarten. He started in the toddler room, where the teacher helped him tremendously in getting potty-trained and ready for preschool. But, all of this means nothing with out the wonderful staff. They have a tremendous amount of patience, kindness and love for the children they take care of and teach. Open communication is stressed upon between teachers and parents. They are very dedicated to providing each child with the same environment they might have at home or with a family member. They have become like family to us. My husband and I are able to go to work and know they are safe and well cared for. We feel very fortunate and blessed to have such great care for our children so close to home.
